another hot and humid day, and the only reason why i choose bicycle over motorcycle was so i could tag pokestops on my way to and from belmont. i noticed my father had already mowed the lawn (front and back) when i arrived around noontime. lunch came in the form of a vegetarian chicken patty sandwich with some very sweet peaches. i did half an hour of census training, finished 2 more modules. i sniffed the refrigerator, could be just placebo effect, but it's more odorless; give it some more days to confirm. it was so hot i couldn't bare to be outside today. i did go out by 5pm to spray the squash and cucumber plants with Bt. i also poured the soaking seaweed into the RB4 zucchini bed. i was in the backyard for a hour before coming back inside for dinner. my father bought a bottle of knob creek bourbon while he was at costco a few days ago. i tried a little sip: at 50% alcohol it has a kick and you can feel it burning as it goes down. it tasted very bland initially, almost like water, but then a host of complex flavors, hard to describe, though it tastes nothing like chinese baijiu.

after returning home, i turned on the AC, took a hot shower, and did 2 more hours of census training, finishing within minutes of the 11pm timesheet deadline for hours submissions. out of 15 online training modules, i've completed 11, just 4 more left. at this rate, if i spend 2-3 hours tomorrow morning to finish my training, i could be ready for the capstone conference call by tuesday, even though they gave me friday to finish. sooner i get done with training, the sooner i can get started doing census field work and getting paid.
