i ended up getting 8 vials of blood drawn, for the following tests: antinuclear antibody (ANA), hepatitis B viral load (PCR), immunoglobulin G, iron and iron binding capacity, and LFTs (hepatic panel). it seemed like a lot of blood but the phlebologist did the math and said it was only around 30mL. i was reaching for my phone to take a photo and asked him if it was okay. "no, you can't take photos here, no photos allowed in the lab," as i just as quickly put my phone away.
