in the morning i went with my father to the super 88 market in malden to get some chinese groceries. afterwards we returned to the cafe where i picked up my sister's dog and drove to belmont to dogsit the rest of the day. as it was a bright sunny day, i turned on the AC, taking advantage of the free guilt-free electricity. for lunch i ate an instant bowl of vietnamese beef pho. afterwards i went outside and mowed the lawn. i put the mower on bagless mode so it could recycle the grass clippings back into compost. it made for a quick mow without needing to sleep to empty the bag. by the time i made it to the backyard, it was hot enough to go topless, work on getting rid of my farmer's tan. a cold can of seltzer never tasted so good. my sister came home in the late afternoon to pick up her dog. we spotted a small rabbit but it disappeared before we could flush it out.

when my parents came home we had dinner before i returned to cambridge via the fuji bike i'd left behind on monday when i took the motorcycle. it wasn't dark enough for wheel lights but i turned on my front and rear lights just in case.
