i woke up at 8am to ride the bike into boston for my 9:15am MGH dermatology follow-up appointment. i arrived a bit before 9am and checked in using the automated kiosk. i was surprised to see that my appointment was at 9am instead, but i ended up in the waiting room until 9:30am before being led to an exam room. the doctor took one look at me, said my wart was completely gone, and that i didn't need any additional cryotherapy. since i was close to haymarket, i decided to pay it a visit to pick up some cheap produce. i got some asparagus, orange sweet peppers, a box of strawberries, and a box of blueberries.

i was surprised to discover that karen didn't go to work today, since i knew she also took monday off as well. in fact, a lot of latino coworkers in her department were skipping work today, as her friend paula said she was the only one in the office.

she and her boyfriend miguel made some breakfast and invited me to have some with them.
