was i afraid? oh yeah, especially when the score was 28-3 in the 3rd quarter. did i lose hope? i did lose some, but i still held on to a glimmer. i've seen too many close patriots game, you never count out the pats until the very end (remember the last patriots super bowl victory over the seahawks?). but 28-3? all they needed to win was 4 touchdowns, 2 in the 3rd quarter, 2 in the 4th quarter. and right, make sure the falcons don't score anymore points. even when the patriots finally score a touchdown in the 3rd quarter, they missed the additional point kick. nothing comes easy.

but that 4th quarter? patriots defense continued to clamp down and atlanta didn't score in the last quarter. as for points? patriots put up 19 unanswered to tie the game 28-28. and when new england got the ball first in overtime, i liked our odds. and very business-like, the pats moved the ball downfield, closer and closer to the endzone. and when they finally scored the winning touchdown, it seemed like a dream, did that really happen? what an amazing win. i was battling a cold that kept my nose running and to make it worse, my parents' neighborhood (5-6 blocks) lost power an hour before kickoff. my sister, mother and i ended up going to the cafe to watch the start of the game before my father called to let us know the power came back.
