i had a slice of ricotta pie for lunch, it was better at keeping its shape a day later. in the afternoon i covered up my motorcycle (in anticipation for the rain that's supposed to fall from thursday into friday) then went down to the community garden to dig up some more plants to save. i collected 3 trays of larkspur seedlings and 4 pots of garlic chives.

i rode the fuji bike to belmont. i haven't biked to my parents' place in weeks due to ongoing road construction on huron avenue. temperature was in the upper 40's so slightly chilly but i'd warm up after a few minutes of biking.

after coming home, i took a nap on the sofa from 8pm to 10pm while watching game 2 of the world series. i woke up with the cubs safely putting away the game against the indians, with the series now tied at 1-1.

i received a letter in the mail, from a "concerned neighbor" named vera (whom i don't know). she urged fellow neighbors to keep in mind the concerns of children trick-or-treating this halloween who may have food allergies, and to provide non-candy treats instead.
