have you ever been up in a construction scaffolding? feels like an adult version of an awesome fort. i helped my father gather up some unwanted construction material (mostly wooden planks) that would otherwise be going into a dumpster come next week.

megabus sent me an e-mail: "due to bus and driver positioning following the recent winter storm, this trip has been cancelled. please check email for detail and reschedule/refund options." this happened before last year to a trip my parents and i were planning to take to flushing. at that time i did the wrong thing and asked for a refund; the smart thing to do is to reschedule, since it's free and i might be able to upgrade to a better time. anyway, i went online to check the schedule. i figured maybe all the trips leaving monday were cancelled, but apparently only my 8am bus was affected; all other bus times were still available. i ended up picking a new departure time of 3:30pm. i'd arrive in NYC at 8:15pm (most likely later), get some dinner, and then meet my uncle at the hotel around 10:30pm.
