after that i couldn't fall back to sleep. i made myself some breakfast, an onion bagel sandwich of salmon cream cheese, real slice of smoked salmon, onions, and capers. my parents came by around noontime. they were at a 9:00 funeral of a friend's father at harvard university. the weird thing was they'd never met the father before, but the friend called them to personally invite them to the funeral, so they felt compelled to go. they stopped by a dunkin donut to get some breakfast because they were hungry and came to my place to use the bathroom as well.
