my roommate asked to postpone our little boston tour until possibly next weekend. reason? there was a real madrid soccer game in the afternoon that he wanted to watch. i was relieved he decided to cancel. the temperature today was 30°F, but with the addition of 50mph winds, it felt like 12°F. not the best day for wandering around boston for 4-5 hours.

so instead we lounged around the house watching television and chatting. victor asked where he could buy trainers. "you mean sneakers?" apparently he runs back home in madrid, at least twice a week, and wants to do the same here in cambridge. talking about the academy awards, he told me he actually met and talked to javier bardem the day before his goya best actor award in madrid.

when the game started, we streamed it from his PC laptop. we tried a few spanish american and arabic sources before finally finding a stable stream based out of spain. madrid ended up beating levantes 2-0.

while victor went to go take a nap, i stayed awake and surfed on the web. in the evening he took a shower and went to an astrophysicist party. i left the house to grab a colorado chicken burrito from boca grande for dinner. it was my first time outside today; cold but if you had a hat and gloves it was okay.
