i worked from 10 to 4 today without taking a break. i made some good progress but have some questions for the client, who still hasn't contacted me this week. no news is good news is my work mantra. i'm going to be a little preoccupied tomorrow (with julianne moore in town, a harvard museum lecture, and all that wonderful snow to photograph) so i won't be able to get in touch with them until friday at the earliest.

we're due for another snowstorm later tonight (early morning), with a few flakes already falling in the late afternoon. depending on which news forecast i watch, we'll get anywhere between 6" to 12" of accumulation. by 7:00 the bulk of the snowstorm will already be over. more importantly, the question i keep on asking myself is this: will my upstairs neighbor finally shovel our sidewalk for a change?

my latest interest is beekeeping. of course there's no place for me to keep an active beehive. i can't do it at my parents because the dog would definitely chase after the bees. i wonder if the community garden would allow me to have a hive there? i seriously doubt it; if they were complaining about my weeds, they'll definitely complain about my box of stinging insects. but it's a dream of mine to one day have my own apiary. and chickens. i basically want to live on a farm is what i'm saying, and live off the land.
