i wasn't going to stay home on another warmish day, so i rode down to the cafe. i discovered i must've lost one of my gloves yesterday, but i did find a pair of ear warmers on the road. not sure if i'd ever wear them though, i think they look a little ridiculous (i rather just wear a hat). while at the cafe, my father received another phone call from some political group trying to get his vote. he said it's been the 3rd time in so many weeks (my parents are registered independents, maybe that's why). the local airwaves are saturated with political commercials. not just from the candidates themselves, but from every special interest group under the sun with a vested interest to see either the democrats maintain their 60 majority in congress or elect a republican to spoil the party. we're in this mess because democrat martha coakley is a weak candidate and republican scott brown is running a better campaign. she basically took it for granted that "liberal" massachusetts would vote for a democrat; so while she was doing nothing, scott brown was waging a populist offensive, making himself seem more human and sensible (compared to coakley, who seems overly ambitious and out of touch with the common people).

i went to belmont to play with the dog but my sister was out with hailey, so i rode back home to cambridge.

the new orleans saints and the indianapolis colts won their respective football games today. i wouldn't mind if the saints went all the way, but i'm rooting against the colts.

had pasta for both lunch and dinner today, finally finished all that vodka sauce i made last night.
