bruce asked me this morning if i could give him a ride to porter square later in the afternoon so he could get to the airport for his flight to europe. porter square? 10 minute walking distance? he needs a ride? i thought he meant if i could drive him to the airport, so i asked. no, he meant porter square. i agreed, and also persuaded him to take my spare digital camera instead of buying a disposable camera.

i went with my father to the supermarket around noontime and came back with a sandwich from the nearby subway. my usual is the chicken teriyaki foot long on toasted wheat bread with american cheese, along with lettuce, onions, hot pepper rings, and a slathering of sweet onion sauce. i ate half for lunch and saved the rest for dinner. i actually lost about 4 lbs. after being in san francisco last week. for me, the best way to lose weight is to go on vacation. the longer i go, the skinnier i get. it's a winning combination of eating sparingly and walking everywhere.

when late afternoon came, i drove bruce to the nearest subway station in his car. since jack doesn't know how to drive, bruce said i could use his vehicle while he's gone.

i'm happy to report i didn't take a nap today like i normally do. instead i spent some time doing backlogging duty, posting some more photos from last week (fans of seals should take a look at the march 10th posting).
