trying to cram as much work as possible into this thursday before i disappear for the weekend. the continuing rainy weather made sure i wouldn't have to set foot outside the house. excitement of the day came in the form of a letter from the massachusetts department of revenue: apparently i owe the state back taxes from 2005, along with a bit of penalty fee and accrued interest. i thought it was another audit, so paying a few hundred dollars in owed taxes seemed like the lesser of two evils.

my mother came by in the late afternoon to deliver the car. while waiting for my father to get off from work to drive her back to belmont, she watched some chinese-subtitled korean soap opera on the pc laptop.

heading up to vermont for elias and amanda's wedding. i've never been to a new england wedding where there wasn't a threat of a shower or two. i'm taking all my gear, rain or shine, i still might be able to do some surreptitious naturing while i'm up there.
