i get asked this a lot, "so how's the leg?" at this point, i really don't know. i thought i'd be done with the aircast weeks ago, but last week my doctor told me i may have to wear it for 6 more weeks. the foot feels a lot better though. i can run my hand along the edge of the foot and there's no pain. however, maybe because i've been in the cast for so long, and because i know the bone is still healing, when i have the cast off i still don't walk on my broken foot with my full weight. the day i can start doing that is the day i know i'm back to my old self again. "will my foot be all atrophied?" i asked the orthopedic specialist last week, imagining a little monkey paw of a healed foot. "yes," he said, "but it'll grow back to normal in no time."

all throughout the day i was working on a project for client B intermittently. so far it's my only project for the rest of the summer, due at the end of august. i'm actually not getting paid a lot so i'm going to try and finish it as quickly as possible so i can recoup the cost. when i wasn't working, i was in my bedroom backing up files onto dvd's. i kept on getting verification errors for a dual-layered dvd i was burning and finally just gave up after creating 4 coasters.

i was sort of surprised it didn't rain today. all that waiting finally paid off though when i heard the patter of raindrops hitting the windows and the back of the air conditioner.
