i tried very hard to wake up at 5:30 in the morning to go birdwatching in mt.auburn cemetery. but the thought of riding in the cold so early in the morning made me go right back to sleep after the alarm clock rang. better luck tomorrow. those migrating birds can wait!

even though it was cold this morning, the weather started heating up quickly turning it into nice t-shirt weather. i spent the day in belmont bundling up branches for street side recycling and weeding the dandelions from the lawn. i had to stop once a blister started forming on my palm from all the digging with the weeding tool.

my father found an old raleigh 3-speed bike from the cafe basement. i knew very little about this english brand, but my father was familiar with it from his childhood in taiwan. bicycles back then only had a single speed so the 3-speed raleigh was considered a luxury item. i'm just impressed by the craftsmanship that went into building this bike.

i had some burger king in belmont for dinner before returning to cambridge.
