it's been a while since i've been to the library so imagine my surprise when i got an automated e-mail reminding me that the books i'd checked out would be overdue soon. the last time i took out books from the library they didn't have this fancy service! not that i needed any reminding, since i'd already decided to pay a visit to the library this morning.

i was all ready to walk down there when my father said he could give me a ride since he needed to be down there anyway to pick up some medication for my great uncle from the clinic. before i went to the library i first went to the cambridge traffic office across the street to renew my resident parking sticker and visitor's parking permit. i was prepared for a long wait but this early in the morning there was nobody in line. at the library i picked out a few new books:

i had it all planned out, i'd walk back home, take some photos, maybe visit the saucony factory outlet store to get a new pair of sneakers, and then perhaps visit the inman square hardware store for seeds and gravel. however, my father called me to let me know he was back in the area and could give me a ride. i decided to take him up on the offer, saved me from having to carry all those books home.

whenever i wake up early it's always a treat. looking at the clock, i'm surprised how early it is and how much more hours i have left in the day. however, the rest of my day wasn't too productive though. i checked up on my plants to make sure the soil was moist. i made french toast and kielbasa sausages for lunch. my replacement memory arrived and i installed them into my macbook pro. that's pretty much it. by the time evening rolled around, i ate a series of toaster oven cooked foods: pizza rolls and chicken strips. my intermittent mystery cold came back, and tonight featured a lot of nose blowing. hopefully it'll clear up by the time i go to bed.
