my day in a nutshell: two football games and one basketball game. the football games were meaningless, since the patriots are observing their bye week and won't play until next weekend. however, it's nice to check out the competition. as for the basketball game, that was a bit more exciting, a rematch between the top two teams in the NBA, the celtics versus the pistons. pistons won narrowly by 2 billups free throws the last time they met at the boston garden, ending the celtics home win streak. celtics came to the detroit this evening to return the favor. a close matched game throughout, the celtics were even down by 12 points early on, something rarely seen with this newly resurging team. however, in the final few minutes, celtics gained the lead and managed to keep the pistons down.
