it must've been a crazy squirrel who knocked over my jar of pond water, spilling all the duckweed and daphnia and other aquatic life. i'm not sad, it was probably for the best anyway since most of the stuff living in the jar were already dying. also, it's not very difficult for me to get more pond scum.

not much action today. with all that rain outside i stayed inside the whole day. with no work i was watching a movie instead, the woods, about a girls boarding school operated by witches. it's not a very good movie (very sparse on plot, but rich in atmosphere) but it had patricia clarkson and bruce campbell so i watched it anyway.

my blue cross health insurance card finally arrived today. there was no invoice, so i don't know how much they're charging me. i guess i'll find out eventually. i removed the neck strap on my camera and gave it a good washing with some poison ivy remover. i'm still getting some residual poison ivy infection on my hands even after getting rid of my old camera bag so i think it's something on the strap. in the early evening i almost fell asleep (one of those late naps) but stayed awake. for dinner it was more chinese dumplings.
