view of somerville from prospect hill park

this being my last day with the fancy lens, i decided to go out and get some more shots before i return it tomorrow morning. i investigated the cambridge neighborhood between beacon and kirkland, a hidden area populated by large single family houses and behind the harvard divinity school. later i went to harvard square looking for the latest issue of entertainment weekly as well as a visit to the bank. returning to kirkland, i walked straight down to washington street arriving at inman square, climbing up to prospect hill park. it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, the steps all glazed in ice. i managed to reach the citadel, but coming down, i partially slid down, clutching the handrail along the way, all in an effort not to smash my camera equipment.

from there i came back via somerville avenue, stopping at a dunkin donut to try out their latest white hot chocolate. after my sister dropped off an tao and his wife after another exhausting day of shopping, she gave me a ride back to belmont to have dinner with my parents.
