immigration at the pudong international airport in shanghai took forever, about an hour. i was behind a leggy russian girl named polina (i peaked at her custom form, nationality MOSCOW), whom after receiving a call on her cellphone, used her feminine ways and cut 6 people in front of us to get to the head of the line. out of the airport, i took the maglev train into the city traveling at 350kph. not sure how fast that is in mph, but the view outside was going by so quickly i had a hard time breathing. then i took the subway and met mr.zhang at a hotel, where he brought me to the apartment where i'll be staying for the next few days. the place is pretty sweet, 28th floor, with a nice view of the people down below. later we went for dinner at a dim sum restaurant. it wasn't very good but was interesting to see all the other chinese people there eating. next we grabbed a taxi and went for a walk along the bund. the place was dark and crowded, a great place if you like to get pickpocketed. from there we went to the shopping street of nanjing donglu. a man came up to me and said in english, "girls? massage?" and two attractive chinese women followed me from behind, asking in chinese if i wanted to "buy some bread."
