friday night i thought i was going to die. i woke up in the middle of the night feeling shortness of breath and my heart beating fast. fearing it was some sort of delayed reaction to the vaccination i had earlier in the day, i jumped out and bed and got ready to call the ambulance. turns out it was a false alarm and i soon calmed down. that sensation i was feeling was probably the feeling you get before falling asleep. so last night was weird as well. i just didn't feel sleepy and didn't go to bed until 6am with the sun already out. i was busy surfing the web for a new backpack and before i knew it got really late (or really early). i paid for it of course, barely managed to get out of bed around noontime.

i rode the motorcycle to belmont and had some chinese dumplings for lunch before going with my mother and sister to the salvation army in saugus to buy some cheap shirts and pants for my trip. we went a really weird way up route 107 (my sister said she knew where she was going but she didn't) but managed to find route 1 nevertheless. unfortunately it was closed. coming back we visited a tj maxx and then building 19. i was feeling a little weird and had to quickly rush into the bathroom, my lunch not agreeing with me. when we got back to belmont, my mother and sister made a detour to filene's basement while i sat in the car for nearly an hour, preoccupied with my china map. they got my some 400 count cotton sateen sheets. back at home, we ordered some takeout from blue ribbon barbecue and went to go pick it up.

i returned to cambridge by 9pm to watch the season premiere of the 4400. what, lily's dead? that was the best part of the show, her interracial relationship with richard and their intergalactic (?) love child. lily was unique because unlike the other 4400's, she didn't have any superhuman powers other than to be pregnant when she was brought back after her disappearance. did the woman who played her (laura allen) get her own show? something must've happened because she wasn't even in the episode, replaced with an older actress and with the storyline revised to explain her sudden aging. i'm not sure if this season is going to be good now.

can't wait to go to bed with my new sheets! did i wash them first? of course not. i like that fresh out of the chinese factory smell. don't remember ever sleeping on anything with a high thread count before. i'm usually a 200 thread count guy, not too picky, but it's time for an upgrade.
