i set a dangerous precedent today by waking up an hour later than usual. if i can sleep an hour more, what's to prevent me from sleeping two extra hours, three, four? these are the risks you face when you work from home. i just didn't feel like getting out of bed, with the weather so gloomy outside, and the bed so warm (plus the fact that i was up late last night watching a documentary on ronald reagan's foreign policies). once i did start working though, i put in my 8 hours, no harm no foul. two other clients contacted me about work; january is probably going to be just as busy as december, if not busier. i was expecting to see the landscape blanketed in snow today but instead we got this cold rain. i made an omelette for lunch and tried to finish the milk, already 2 days past the expiration date. i did a load of laundry and collected a bunch of receipts into a shoebox (in preparation to do my taxes). my copy of the universal history of numbers arrived from an independent amazon.com affiliate. just browsing through the pages, i could already feel myself getting smarter. later in the evening i did some more online shopping: an internal DVD-burner for my PC and a pair of canon batteries. for dinner i just had some ramen.
