2004

a thoroughly unproductive day. my triumph of the human spirit moment came when i motivated myself enough to reheat last night's leftover thai curry for lunch. i almost never eat leftovers. while waiting for my food to digest, before i even knew it, it started getting dark outside and my plans of going out for a run were quickly dashed. for dinner, one of those pot pie things. funny how fast a day of nothingness can go by when it's no longer daylight saving time.

tomorrow is election day. after watching the news today i'm feeling pretty optimistic about kerry's chances. record-breaking voter turnout, increased early voting, the possibility that some bush heavy swing states are leaning towards kerry, the recent boston red sox victory, the OBL video, iraqi assassinations, china's recent condemnation of the bush administration, and the fact that the packers beat the redskins, are all signs that point to a democratic victory. i'm feeling more excited, more anxious for the presidential election than i was for the world series game. another red sox lose would've broken my heart, but four more years of bush co. will ruin the world. i sort of see tomorrow like a game 7 of some championship, except the game requires a lot of waiting around with hardly any action, until suddenly, late into the night (if we're lucky), the winner will be declared. and if it's kerry, maybe he'll do a duck tour victory parade into the charles river as well. it's true, i have the fever for the flavor of parade!

good luck everyone. you know what to do.
