i've got 10 minutes to write before i'm scheduled to go back to work. went to the office this morning via subway since it looked kind of wet. hardly anyone was in the office, just a handful of employees. i put in my hours, scratching at the itchy mosquito bites covering my legs (funny how i didn't even feel them when i was in vermont, must've been that high altitude air). i took a break in the afternoon to visit petco ("where animals go to die") to buy some elodea plants. when i asked the guy who helped me how long my plant can survive since i wasn't going home right away, he said probably an hour. i sleep better at nights knowing that there are such well-informed aquatic vegetation experts working there. "an hour?" i repeated what he said, and told him that didn't seem right. i asked for more water to go into my plastic bag and paid for my $2 elodea. coming back to the office i got the steak tips sub again from kendall's house of pizza. i'm starting to become "that" guy who always gets the same thing everyday for lunch. to be honest though, i've worked in the area before, and there isn't a lot of food choices. you can visit one of the many fine franchise dining places, but i rather get my eats from somewhere local.

i left the office after 6:30pm, after learning that lisa keeps fish as well, these weird goldfish that don't have dorsal fins. i told her my own sad fish story and went home, getting back at 7pm. my old roommate called me from his new apartment in cambridge, asked if he could come by tomorrow to pick up his stuff. i wanted to go for a run, but i had photos to process from this past weekend (they're almost done, but i still have to write it up, maybe another day if i'm not busy). i moved the bike so it wouldn't get towed tomorrow morning during street cleaning (my father had covered it up with a vehicle tarp to protect it from the rain, but i moved it to an exposed muddy spot). i watched the game (red sox won), caught some olympics coverage, sorted my photos, and ate some tsongtse for dinner. now without further ado, it's the late night edition of work. i don't expect to go to bed before 3am. thankfully i think the weather tomorrow will be nice and i can ride the motorcycle into work, which means a 10 minute commute; about the same time it takes me to just walk to the subway i can be in the office. i don't know if that's a good or bad thing.
