argh, i can't sleep! i wasn't planning on writing an entry tonight, too tired, took a nap after dinner (most people would call that sleep, i had some leftover chicken tonight), woke up to watch some television, then tried going back to sleep but i can't do it anymore. as a rule, when i have a bout of insomnia, i get up and do something else, why suffer needlessly tossing and turning in bed? i was watching something on animal planet about a sensory deprivation chamber, i'd love to experience something like that. earlier, i was also watching an exhibition game between the red sox and the twins. before i fell asleep the red sox were winning (not that it matters anyway, it's preseason). all my sports attention is fixated on baseball at the moment. i'm so disgusted with basketball, danny ainge has pretty much dismantled the boston celtics team that i love, trading virtually every single good player (except for paul pierce and walter mccarty) and replacing them with crappy players. he even drove away the coach! i believe ainge was sent by satan himself to destroy the team. i will wait outside the fleet center one night and ambush him with a barrage of punches to the face. i blame him for ruining my love of basketball. i also blame NBA's bright decision to move from NBC to ABC - ABC's marketing of the game is inferior to NBC (they don't even have a catchy jingle!) and their announcers suck. i haven't watched a single celtics game yet this season, i'm just so sick of it all. basketball is dead to me. long live baseball!

this afternoon i went OCB to pick up my pair of trial contact lenses. i took the orange line from chinatown to north station (i never knew the orange line stopped at north station) then walked back, cutting through haymarket and behind city hall. i got a steak and cheese sub from subway's then came back to the office.
