short and sweet, because i have to go to sleep! in the morning i did touch up painting with three different kinds of white paint (decorator white, ceiling white, and oil based semi-gloss white) and some caulking. andrew came back from his california vacation but then went back to work in the afternoon. i dug up some more paperwork for my mortgage re-finance and went to the cafe to fax them. i went back to belmont briefly to scan some stuff, where i also dropped my coolpix 950 on the ground, breaking the battery cover so now it doesn't close properly. for some reason this doesn't seem to bother me (the camera still works fine though, just the batteries will once in a while pop out of the case for no good reason). when i returned to cambridge, i went out running, complete route, non-stop. i went with bruce and jack to red bones for dinner, and discovered that maybe there are house sparrows roosting in the gutters of my house, since they haven't been cleaned for well over a year now, and all day i saw them fluttering outside along the eaves. if they were nice lovely birds i wouldn't mind, but house sparrows are an invasive pest and they could damage the house from their accumulated droppings, which contain uric acid. coming back from davis square, i learned that bruce has been raising monarch butterflies since childhood, i can't wait to see them.
