today i primed the living room with my father. he was in charge of the roller, i had edge duty with a 3" wide paintbrush. later we switched off. roller duty is definitely much easier, there isn't as much effort and precision required compared with fine edge detailing. i went barefoot so that if i stepped on any paint drops i'd know and wouldn't track it through the rest of the house (where the floors haven't been covered with rosen paper yet). after several intense hours of painting and dodging globs of white paint, we called it a day.
maybe the weather was too hot, but the paint looked thin, i'm wondering if i should do a second coat of primer. some edges and the ceilings (of the living room and the foyer) are still unpainted, i'll have to do that during the next round of painting.

back in belmont i started working on my freelance project at 2:30pm. 12 hours later, 2:30am, i called it a day. my focused productivity was scary, because it's so unlike me. sure, i had bouts of procrastination, but for the most part i was in front of the computer working.
