today i saw one open house by appointment with a broker and another one that was still being gutted and renovated. the market for my price range of apartments up for sale in the areas of cambridge that i want to live in is shrinking. the few that are still available are being slowly reduced in price and snatched up on a first come first serve basis. the market's so sparse right now, tomorrow we probably won't do our usual rounds of sunday afternoon house searching, since most of the properties currently on sale we've already seen from the past few weekends. my dream of house ownership might have to wait until after the winter season.

i came back from the open houses and went out running. it was 50 degrees with a slight drizzle, but i got dressed in my running shorts and a turtleneck and headed out. majorly asterisked run, i took a shortcut which probably shaved off a miles from my route, and towards the end i did some walking. i could've probably ran the whole thing, but i got bored and just wanted to go home and take a shower.
