i wasn't expecting it to be so warm outside when i left the house in the early afternoon to buy some yarn for my mother from the assembly square ac moore. this is probably the last warm day of the year as we can look forward to the advancing winter climate. drew had returned to the house for lunch when i came home, but left soon afterwards.

client R got in touch with me. the project won't resume until after thanksgiving, with a deadline for the first week of december. that gives me 2 weeks of free time to pursue my own interests.

with the weather so nice, i did some leaf raking in belmont, fueled by a seemingly inexhaustible supply of leftover halloween candy (twix bars and peppermint patties). when my parents biked home, my father helped me dump the leaves in the backyard compost pile.

back at home, drew had told me earlier about one of the struts to his front bike basket coming loose, so i went out and fixed it with a spare set of screw-nut-starwasher. i also covered up the motorcycle (early morning rain forecasted), parked in front of the house since my usual parking spot had already been taken.
