i went and rocked the vote this morning. my original affinity for cahill was replaced by the practicality of voting for patrick over baker once it looked like the republican might have a chance to capture the state house. often times when i'm at the ballot box, it's a decision between the lesser of two evils. today was no exception. politicians always promise too much when running and then deliver too little once in office.

today was about graphic production in anticipation of a weeklong worth of coding. i managed to resist the temptation of working on some personal projects, like replacing the cables on the trek bike or finishing up the last of the quince fruits. the only thing i did do was collect the korean cucumber seeds that i'd been soaking for a week and finally put them on a paper napkin to dry last night.

i had a bacon and egg sandwich for lunch then a vietnamese sandwich for dinner (my aunt dropped it off when she went to the supermarket with my father). i'm due for another grocery run but can't think of anything i want to make.

the rest of the night was spent watching midterms election coverage on the various news channels. deval patrick ended up winning the governor's race, one of the very few democratic victories of the evening.
