the story of the day was the torrential rain. it began last night while i was already in bed. all i could think about was if i'd closed all my windows. my upstairs neighbor thought the same thing because i heard him stomping through the house once the rain started to really come down.

the first half of the day was calm, and i could've gone out, but a check of the doppler radar showed bands of storms about to pass through the area. the sky would suddenly darken and nature would put on a show, raining, thundering, flash lightning, and howling winds. it was so bad that visibility was cut to zero at times. the streets temporarily flooded as the storm drains were suddenly overflown with water. i thought about going down to harvard square to get some rain photos but decided to stay indoors and keep dry.

a simple tuna fish sandwich for lunch, some grapes as an afternoon snack, then some yang rou pao mo (bread and mutton soup) for dinner, followed by orange slices. not so much healthy eating as i need to make a grocery run but can't decide what to make yet for the rest of the week.
