breaking news this morning: FBI mounting raids in two local towns (watertown and brookline) related to the times square bomber investigation. nobody really knew what was going on, but of course that didn't stop the news reporters from covering it non-stop like it was some sort of important crisis.

in the early afternoon i paid a quick visit to inman square to drop off a signed W9 form at the client's house. i sent out an invoice earlier (at the request of the client, who seemed eager to pay me, always a good sign).

i went to the community garden to plant a moonflower and a morning glory. i spent some time weeding and digging out some chinese lantern plants and golden raspberry rhizomes. my father paid me a visit in the garden with my 2nd aunt and uncle in tow. later they dropped by my place to check out my boxes of seedlings hardening in the backyard. today i finally set out the rest of my plants (tomatoes, basil, peppers). i also planted more than a dozen nasturtium seeds, hoping to start them indoors then transplant them outside.

the big event of the evening was game 6 between the celtics and the cavaliers. a celtics win would send boston into the eastern conference championship. but all the sports shows were more concerned about lebron james, and how a lost would end their season and possibly see james leaving cleveland to another team as a free agent. it was an exciting game throughout, and an evening of aggressive living room swearing and applause. boston won and will face the orlando magic this sunday.
