a morning conference call with client N left me feeling tired afterwards, like my brain had been overworked. afterwards i moved all the testing equipment for client B into the living room so i could figure out how to get the relay board to work. of the two interactives i'm writing for client B, one of them needs to be able to control a bunch of lights. although i've worked on past projects that involved the use of serial communication devices, this one seemed overly complicated. a lot of the information i had to find online. when i actually started working on it though, it wasn't that difficult and i was surprised when it worked. i never did get my test lamp to light though, and although the client sent me some instructions, i held off for fear of electrocuting myself or frying the board.

i left the house briefly to water the vegetables, but only to see if the cypress vine flowers have bloomed yet (not yet). i picked some golden raspberries, but half of them were rotten because i left them on the plant for too long. for lunch i made an omelette with some of the pico de gallo i had from last night. i managed to remove the AC from the living room window and carry it down to the basement. with the recent spell of cold weather, i'm pretty sure i won't be using it until next season (and i may get a lighter energy-saving model). my father dropped by in the early evening to deliver some food before he went home. later alex and his brother showed up to return the 60mm macro lens he borrowed from last sunday.
