2007

i went to the red sox rally, which was a major disappointment, because i was expecting to see more players, but other than papelbon, it was mostly B-list guys. "oh my god, he's so cute!" a girl behind me screamed as one of the players walked out on stage, which reaffirmed my suspicion regarding female sports fans, which is that they're really only there to check out the male athletes. i stayed for the entire 3 hours, standing the whole time until my back and my feet started to hurt. to add insult to injury, i got a $40 parking ticket as well. apparently there's no such thing as a guest parking permit in the city of boston - just specially designated 2-hour guest parking zones. worse, somebody was double parked and had trapped me; i honked my horn and revved my engine until they came out and moved their car.

earlier today my father and i went to city paints again in west cambridge to get 2 more gallons of color paints. laura branigan's "gloria" was playing on the radio and the employees were singing to it. we finished my parents' bedroom in lavender ice, leaving strawberry yogurt for the hallways tomorrow. my sister was home but no surprise she didn't volunteer to help, waking up at noon and then disappearing after a shower without even saying hello. you can say that she and i are not the same.

my 1gb DIMM's (DDR 3200) arrived today for my PC. i'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but i've only had 256mb worth of memory on that thing ever since i got it. i don't use it that often (just for testing and code work) so it didn't really bother me until now. after i installed it i noticed the different right away, applications don't seem to stall as much.
