2007

today felt like a saturday, a sort of languid feeling, devoid of structure. never once did i set foot outside the house but my weather sources told me it was cold. i managed to stay pretty warm, recently discovering a woolish sweater (it's actually just a cotton/nylon blend) that's been keeping me toasty. i finished off the rotiserrie chicken leftover from yesterday for lunch. when early evening came around i crawled into bed to take a nap, not waking back up until 9:30pm and convinced that it was saturday. dinner was a pair of leftover chicken hot dogs courtesy of my former roommate.

i finished watching brick (2005), that movie with joseph gordon-levitt. he plays a high school loner investigating the mysterious death of his ex-girlfriend. based on that description it's not an easy sell but the film sets it up like a 1930's crime noir drama. it's hard to explain but pretty interesting when you watch it, and it's one of those things that you either get right away or it'll leave you fustrated and confused.

not done with the evening, i ended up taking a bath. my hot water cycles, so at any one time it's either very hot or just warm. tonight it was just warm, so the bath water quickly turned cold. i kept on draining half of it and refilling it with warmer water. by the time i was done soaking though, the heater kicked in and i got a dose of the steamy hot stuff. some incense, a cold drink, and my entertainment weekly magazine, with that i finish off this saturdayish friday.
