2007

this week is moving way too fast. as a matter of fact, so has this entire month. i've got another code deadline tomorrow but i'm not sure if i can meet it. trying to think of what to say to the client, but the schedule i made for myself is actually a few days ahead of the internal deadline, so i have some leeway. if i could have just a few more days!

finally got that gravel vacuum working. pumped out about a quarter of the tank before filling it back up with new water. at the bottom of the plastic pail filled with the old water was a layer of debris. if i had to guess, it's probably decomposed bits of fish flakes and fish poop. i'm going to vacuum a little bit each day until i can get the gravel clean enough that crap doesn't kick up whenever i sift the bottom. hopefully this will also control the algae problem and keep the water crystal clear. on a different topic, i think one of the guppy females will soon give birth. of course i'm not confident any of them will survive, given that out of the original 10+ fries, only one of them is alive today.

for dinner i made a little shake & bake chicken. i made 6 drumsticks (400 degrees at 45 minutes) and gave half to an tao when he came home. i've got 4 more in the fridge, ready to be baked for lunch tomorrow.
