2007

i went to bed early for a change last night, and as a result woke up early as well (10am). i was surprised to see an tao out of the house even though his research work doesn't start until tomorrow due to the national day of gerald ford mourning today. despite the fact that it was an impromptu national holiday, pretty much everyone i knew was online, back at work for 2007. i went about my debugging project and heard an tao return home an hour later. he went to the supermarket (not stars, but the more distant market basket down somerville avenue) to buy some groceries and started to make lunch (which he shared with me): chicken hearts, broccoli, and a fish stew. i didn't have the heart to him i can't stand the smell of fish but to his credit he did ventilate well and i had an excuse to light a candle later in the evening. i asked him if he was jetlagged and said yes, he woke up very early this morning. neither of us left the house for the rest of the day, and in the afternoon he took a nap while i continued programming in my bedroom. for dinner i heated up a can of soup and continued working on that ice cream cake.
