it's sad to leave the president number one - i'm going to miss that old ship, warts and all. mostly the waitresses, whom i flirted with in my own peculiar way as often as possible. in the end i tipped them US$20 - that's pretty much all the spare change i have. we had breakfast one last time and then suwei and i grabbed our bags and left.

disembarking for chongqing

since suwei had to be in chongqing for at least a day for business, we mutually decided it'd be ideal if we shared a hotel room together, this way we could pay a little more and get a really nice one. we ended up going to the chongqing guesthouse, listed as a four-star hotel. the bathroom itself was probably a third of the size of our little cabin on the ship. the best part: free internet! but only if you have your own computer, which in this case is yes.

we didn't waste anytime and immediately made our way to the chongqing bus station to grab the next ride out to dazu, about 2 hours away but took 3 hours because of traffic and our driver's decision to pick up stray travelers along the way.
