i went down to the agassiz neighborhood council office this morning to see if i could get an update on getting a spot in the community garden on sacramento street. there didn't seemed to be anyone there even though i was walking around the various rooms. finally i found two young office workers who told me the council is not actually in charge of the community garden program and that i should contact the city office for that info. i cashed a few checks while i was out then came back home.

in the late afternoon i went with julie to the somerville target. all the easter merchandise were out; i wanted to buy some cadbury eggs but figured i'd wait until the end of easter for everything to go on sale. i bought a 16 oz. bottle of scent-free eucerin moisturizer, recommended by dermatologists. apparently it's a pretty popular item since there was just one bottle left. back in the car i put some on my hands. while the vaseline i currently use goes on wet, this eucerin felt oily. it definitely moisturizes a lot better than the vaseline, and hours after the first application my hands were still soft. later we went to market basket before i got a ride back home.

julie came over in the evening and made a soup from shredded chicken, chipotle peppers, tomatoes, and cilantro, with a dollop od sour cream and a sprinkle of feta cheese. it was pretty spicy and hearty, a good soup for a cold night.
