around noontime i went with julie to the REI in reading. she had to acquire some more outdoor gear, while i just wanted an excuse to take a break from work. i was eyeing the lonely planet shoestring guide to south america, contemplating another adventure. although it seemed like just yesterday, it was a year ago to this day that i left boston for southeast asia. coming back, since neither of us had lunch yet, we decided to get something to eat. we tried the papa gino's in the meadow glen mall but it was no longer there. next, a pizza place on boston avenue was closed as well. ball square failed to offer any good eating places too. in the end, we came back to my neck of the woods, and went to o'sullivan's for some burgers. i got the garlic burger, which i thought would have garlic rolled up in the patty but it just had a spread of crushed garlic (it was still a good burger, but my favorite is still the black and blue - crushed pepper with blue cheese).

in the evening i walked over to jesse' place in winter hills, where she was making sweet potato quiche. i brought my playstation (so very junior high) and we played a few rounds after dinner, with jesse fluttering in and out of sleep. once i got back home, i stayed up late enough to watch battlestar galactica before falling asleep on the couch.
