today, consumed by work with a deadline tomorrow, i still found time to do some laundry. it was rainy and miserable throughout much of the day, times like this i'm glad i work from home and don't have to commute in that weather. i'm slowly dwindling away my box of krispy kreme donuts, by tomorrow i will have eaten the whole dozen. today i was scheduled to go running but with so much work and the awful weather outside, it was easy to just stay inside. by evening i went down to cambridgeport to help andrew's mother with her brand new ibook. it's scary to think that that ibook is 3x faster than my old g4 desktop machine, and that's the fastest machine i own. as compensation judy made me dinner, fish with rice pilaf and string beans with mushrooms, followed by some maple walnut ice cream (actually, vanilla ice cream mixed with maple syrup and crushed walnuts). i got a ride home, then my father dropped by for a quick visit to pick up a copy of disk warrior. i told him about my plans to travel around the world and who could stay in my place while i'm gone. later, i communicated with the client and promised to deliver something for tomorrow, even though i could've pushed back the date since i'm still missing a lot of assets. i just made more work for myself but a little pressure is a good thing. at least this week feels like it's going by pretty fast.
