2004

the secret i found for surviving unemployment is to find something to do everyday. it could be as trivial as "go to the bank and cancel my account," anything, as long as it's something to do. once you've finished that task, the day is over, and you can then screw around all you want, relatively free of guilt.

so today i went to the cambridge trust bank to cancel my account. i'm a reluctant fleet user, but i have this old account at one of the local banks that i never use. once that was done, my day was opened for anything.

this morning my father called to let me know that the pest control guy will be coming saturday morning at 9am.

i went running. it was warm (temperature almost in the 60's) and boring.

after my parents got out of work in the early evening, we drove to chinatown to get some groceries (in preparation for thanksgiving on thursday). i stocked up on snacks. before we left, we got some chinese takeout from china cafe, and drove back to belmont to eat. all that salt and possible msg left me with a mild headache later in the evening when i came back to cambridge.

i finally finished watching ichi the killer. asano tadanobu as blonde yakuza enforcer kakihara (widened joker mouth held together by piercings) is one of the greatest movie villians of all times! i almost want to dye my own hair blonde to look like him. the movie was so sick i can't even talk about it. it was a slow thursday night so i decided to take a bath, trying to see if i could fall asleep in the tub. 40 minutes later, my body reduced to a prune, i finally got out.
