never have i been surrounded by so many athletic women before, sweating, panting, running in unison, down the length of memorial drive. later, i motorcycled to petco to buy a thermometer for my plants, then exchanged for the car so i could drive down to mahoney's in winchester to pick up some gardening supplies. they don't tell you this, but it's expensive keeping carnivorous plants! i got $15 worth of potting "soil": perlite, peat moss, sphagnum moss, as well as several plastic pots and a spray bottle. when i came home i briefly flirted with the idea of going out for a run myself, but felt too lazy to go back outside. in the evening, my father came by for dinner, we made tacos with the leftover "must use" ground beef i'd had in the fridge for almost a week.
