i slept late, waking up to watch the red sox yankees game with pedro pitching. the red sox ended up losing, now back to 4.5 games behind the yankees. after the game, i drove the car back to my parents' and went with them to tin tin buffet in allston for dinner. buffet food are notoriously bad, more about quantity than quality. this was my first time at tin tin and i found it okay but nothing exceptional. three kinds of people go to these buffets, overweight people, senior citizens, and cheap family looking to feed everyone on a tight budget. my favorite items were the salt & pepper shrimps and the homemade kimchee. afterwards, we went to the 88 supermarket, crowded with returning students looking to buy asian groceries. i didn't really feel like buying anything since i now work so close to chinatown anyway, i know i can always pick up anything i want (at least next week anyway). i rode the motorcycle back to cambridge when we returned to belmont.

cat v2 is clearing up, the final stage before the chrysalis opens to release the butterfly incubating inside. i figured by tomorrow it will become a butterfly, so i'm leaving it outside of the jar tonight, the lid with attached chrysalis suspended across two jars. cat v3 is probably a day behind in development, it should transition to clear chrysalis stage within a day or two as well.
