i got dressed this morning and walked to porter square to cash in a check (at the porter exchange) and get a salmon on onion bagel at bruegger's. across the street at the white hen i got a bottle of blue gatorade and a bag of jalapeño sunflower seeds, one of my few vices. i came back home and had my lunch, calling julie to hear the good news about her new working rcn cablemodem access. rest of the day i had on the low simmer of work. no visitors came to the feeder, or maybe if they did i missed them. my street briefly flooded, before the cambridge road crew came by with trucks, dredging the blocked sewer grates of leaf debris and slush. by evening, my father brought over some mien-gu-da that my mother had made, and that was my dinner after a thorough heating in the microwave.

and three things on my mind: fatwahs, wabisabi, and how much i love janeane garofalo.
