i'm not even watching the all stars game. i saw a little bit of it tonight, but i had more fun playing diablo 2. why am i not watching the game? could it be because of joe torre and his decision to pick 8 of his own yankees for backup reserves on the AL team even though none of them were voted in by the fans, and only picking one red sox player (manny ramirez -- not having him on the team would've been a crime against humanity), even though at the time the red sox were number one in the division? does this make any sense? this is the most blatant display of shameless nepotism i've seen in a long time! why, even if i watched the game, i wouldn't root for the american league. that team of supposed all stars doesn't really represent the league. it's pretty much the same old yankees with just a few other players from some other teams. if you root for the AL, you're essentially just rooting for the yankees. well no way am i going to be rooting for those guys! joe torre, i hope you're happy with yourself. you have singlehandedly ruined the all stars for me.

this will make our red sox world series victory that much sweeter when we beat your sorry asses on the road to glory! your days are numbers, yankees! joe torre, we come for you!

when warm front and cold front meet, it's always interesting. we had one of those sunny rainstorm today, and when it was over, there was a beautiful parabolic rainbow in the sky. upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a double rainbow! i haven't seen a rainbow in a long time. i guess i've just been trained to go indoors when it rains, like a lot of people. there's something very nostalgic about a rainbow. the first time i've ever seen one was when i was a little kid, but even now, whenever i see a rainbow, i see it still as a kid, staring at it with wide eyes and just absolutely fascinated by this band of color in the sky.
