attended this little festival of bizarro videos and films at the coolidge corner theatre. saw "the subliminal delerium [sic] of the visual child" at 10pm and "telezonia" at midnight. i think the patrons who came out to attend the screening are just as interesting as the films themselves -- bohemians all. the 3 hours of footage was a lurching rollercoaster ride of shock, humor, digust, and excitement. favorite clips? too many to pick from. maybe the two religious men talking about how he-man teaches children to worship satan. "mommy, god isn't the master of the universe, it's he-man!" exactly. also the humorous unexpectedly homoerotic anti-drunk driving film featuring a cameo by a young elizabeth perkins. "you think you ride me?" exactly. oh, or maybe it's the mulleted david faustino "horsing around" equine appreciation snippet where he's brushing the horse and having problems mounting the animal later on. definitely worth seeing these found footage if you get the chance.

the aftermath of the cooperate challenge run -- two consecutive days of straight running -- is that my legs are totally destroyed. well, maybe that's an overstatement. i can still walk -- just can't run. i have leg pains, in my knees, and one of my ankles, and my feet hurt. that's why this friday, a day where i'd normally run, i couldn't do it. i thought i could, but when it came time to get changed, my body told me no, and i listened (didn't really have a choice).
